We have an immediate opening for a Class A CDL Driver with hazmat and tanker endorsements for our Frederick, MD and Lorton, VA terminal location. We are looking for a dependable truck driver to fill the full-time position to transport and deliver petroleum products to customers.

 

Qualifications:

• Be at least 23 years of age or older
• Must be CDL certified with HazMat and Tank endorsements
• At least 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
• Have a current medical card
• Have or able to obtain TWIC Card

 

Requirements:

• All drivers must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements
• Must pass a company road test

• Capable of working in diverse weather and working conditions
• No more than 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents combined in the last 3 years
• No DUI’s /DWI’s in the past 10 years

 

Petroleum Driver Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Provide good customer service and maintain a professional manner and appearance

• Able to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections

• Load, unload, and deliver petroleum products to our customer in a safe, efficient and professional manner
• Commercial driving skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, and in or out of tight loading and unloading areas

• Must be able to back up equipment in all types of weather and conditions including going forward and backing up and navigating around tight corners in all situations

 

Physical Requirements:

• Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs frequently

• Be able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, pull and push all types of hoses and equipment to do the job
• Must be able to maneuver fuel hoses in, around, and through all types of equipment and environments as required

• Must be able to enter and exit the truck cab frequently
• Must be able to occasionally reach above shoulder level and bend at and below waist level for maneuvering and directing controls to operate the truck
• Employees are frequently required to sit, walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, and bend at waist
